Keep It Cool With HydroChill®
As the synthetic lawn surface is warmed by the sun, moisture stored inside the HydroChill® sand infill is released. As it evaporates, it removes heat, leaving a colder, more comfortable surface.
- HydroChill® is the only synthetic turf cooling system that cools surfaces by 30°-50°F. HydroChill® was tested in a lab and in real-world applications for over six years.
- The HydroChill® technology is a pre-coated material, so it comes already bonded to the sand infill. Once installed, the only thing you have to do is add water to activate it.
- HydroChill® necessitates moisture to give you a long-time cooling effect. Rainfall and irrigation can help keep your lawn cool for days, depending on local conditions.
- HydroChill® does not affect the durability or warranty of Shawgrass products.
There are also all-natural and pet-specific infills you can get to customize your recreational turf area to meet your needs. No one-size-fits-all options here, our professional team will walk you through the process to ensure you get the best possible results out of your turf project.
Long Pile Putting Green
Our long pile putting green turf is considered the most prestigious putting green that we sell. The end result of this product gives the customer a much more realistic putting green experience. The process of installing this type of putting green is much more involved than the short pile putting green, however. The sanding process is much more vigorous and is the reason being why the putting green is more realistic. Each long pile putting green holds approximately five pounds of silica sand per square foot, is groomed to a precise standard, and is then top dressed with black coal slag to give the green a nice finishing touch. Once this is completed, the green must be rolled multiple times with a water roller to bend the tops of the fibers to imitate a grass putting green. Long pile putting greens are much better for receiving long shots, chip shots, and usually roll at a speed of 10 or higher over time.
Short Pile Putting Green
Our Short pile putting green is a carpet that requires much less installation hassle. This putting green is taken from its manufactured state and installed right away with only about 1-2 pounds of silica sand per square foot. This particular putting green putts very well but is not as quality at receiving shots from long and shorts ranges as the long pile putting green is. The installation process for this putting green is much less grueling.
